Elements

Elements are the pioneers and market leaders of Embedded Talent Consultancy. Their team spend much of their time working from their clients’ offices, immersed in the culture and workspaces of cool tech organisations such as Spotify and Booking.com. For that reason, the CEO of Elements reasoned that the new Elements office had to be a place that felt like home; that employees loved to return to.

When they signed on a new office overlooking Camden Market, they set out to create a space where their team were inspired, productive and happy. It needed to be “grown-up” yet still have a sense of fun, reflecting the vibrant and sociable culture of the workforce. The design and furnishings needed to include various zones for different tasks and different personalities, and it had to have plenty of space for breakouts and video calls, as well as regular company-wide celebrations.

Thirdway and Tribe worked closely with the client, finding synergy in attitudes towards culture, people and the modern workplace. The design of the space was very fluid and collaborative with ideas from all parties considered and included in the final version. All employees work from laptops so adequate hotdesking space was key. The large desks in the main office area are from Narbutas, featuring warm walnut tops, providing a grown-up and sophisticated feel. Many of the furnishings took inspiration from more masculine materials such as leather, velvet and wood.

The environment promotes a community feel with a central kitchen used for team lunches, meetings, parties and day-to-day working, a coffee-point with a professional barista and a roof terrace which was optimised for employee usage complete with soft seating, tables and stools.

The base colours are muted shades of black and grey, with pops of colour in the detail and furnishings. It is full of life and vibrancy – much like the company which inhabits it.

The result is a grown-up, sophisticated style which encourages employees to feel empowered, professional and valued.
