Huddle is a co-working space based within The Shortland’s Building in Hammersmith, it is part of Romulus construction’s portfolio, a property company with over 50 years of experience in owning and managing spaces.
Tribe were appointed to create a co-working environment of which would have its own unique identity with the goal to elevate the building’s features to stand out in the local area; whist attracting members who would want to work and grow their ventures day to day in the space. This project particularly stood out to Tribe due to the team leading elements of the design and development homing in on areas which required relevant functions within a variety of different furniture pieces. It was key for Tribe to maintain some of the refined industrial features by incorporating natural oak timbers and pops of strong statement colour including Huddle’s brand yellow.
The space needed to be subtly connected through the furnishings, and the original brief and vision of the client helped to distinguish Huddle’s Co-working space’s look and function. The building itself was a challenge due to the shape which flowed into various wings and staircases, requiring navigation and working around. Tribe’s on-site project management dealt with this accordingly when it came to the installation phase, ensuring that there were clear routes of entry for all suppliers when needed.
The unique design and development phase to this project allowed it to differentiate and stand out from other Tribe projects whilst allowing the team to deliver a unique and new co-working and hotdesking space for Huddle.
